Starman: The Protectors of Opal

Rich showing off his toys

All of the following figures were done by Rich Medley. That's him above as Jack Knight.

Jack and Ted Knight

Jackie here was a DC Direct Starman - the whole line is based around him.

His father Ted was an X-Files Mulder body with a ToyBiz WCW Bret Hart head. Bret's hair was heated and peeled off (it's a separate piece) and Ted's hair was sculpted with Sculpey and cured before painting.

Mikaal and Solly

The alien Starman Mikaal uses the ToyBiz WCW Bret Hart body with the head from a McFarlane Ichabod Crane. Everything else is just repainting.

The good Grundy is a repainted Alex from Resaurus' Street Fighter line. His bandana was trimmed off and was carved to blend with his hair.

Dee and Condor

Phantom Lady was a Moore Creations' Lady Demon. Her belt and wristband were crafted from a rubber band and her boot tops were made from Sculpey. Her goggles were cut from a piece of transparent green plastic and her cape came from a Warriors of Virtue Komodo.

Black Condor was once a ToyBiz WCW Dennis Rodman, but his legs had to be shortened about 3/4 of an inch each. The head came from a Warriors of Virtue Komodo with extensive resculpting. His wings were cut from a Spider-Man Vulture and glued to Rodman's arms before painting. His chest straps are rubber bands.

Shade and Bobo

Shade here was originally a McFarlane Ichabod Crane body, the white trim on his outfit was painted black. The head was from a ToyBiz WCW Rick Flair and the top hat came with a WCW Buff Bagwell.

Jake Benetti is a repainted Jakks TitanTron Shane MacMahon. His braces are rubber bands and his tats are drawn with permanent pens.

Scalphunter and Pirate

Brian Savage uses the top half of a McFarlane Metal Gear Solid Revolver Ocelot and the bottom half of a Playmates' Turok Joshua Fireseed. They are joined at the middle with a bandoleer from a ToyBiz Longshot. His hat came with the WCW Dennis Rodman.

Jon Valor started as a Playmates' Chainmail Zorro. His shorts were built up with sculpey and his sash is a twist tie. His baldric was a rubber band and his beard is a piece of scrap plastic. His coat was donated by a ToyBiz WCW Sting. He was painted entirely in greys and blacks to give him a ghostly look when he's with the other figures.
