All the Superman: The Animated Series figures were made by Randy Hayes.
A member of the Legion of Superheroes, Chameleon Boy was a funny and enjoyable character, and I decided I could make him fairly easily out of a TNBA Rumble Ready Riddler figure. I sculpted the crown of his head (since I cut off the Riddler's hat) & his ears, as well as a new mouth because Riddler's was sanded off when I fixed the shape of the chin (via my Dremel), and would have been in the wrong place anyway (too high up). The Riddler's wristbands were cut off, and the costume design was added with masking tape, cut to size and painted. The belt buckle was drawn and then painted with the smallest point I could find: a pencil. Add telephone wire for his antennae, paint, spray and you're done!
The good Professor was made from a TNBA Bruce Wayne figure. I used wire for the glasses, and painted a piece of paper blue, then cut out the tie and glued it on. I put sculpey on his stomach to make it smooth, so he doesn't look like such a body-builder. I also cut the suit part off of Bruce's coat, and Dremeled off the boot tops on his legs.
Rudy Jones was made from a Glider Strike Batman, from TNBA's Mission Masters assortment and a Mr. Freeze head. Basically, I just sanded down all of Batman's features, cut off his head and shoved Mr. Freeze's on there. I also sanded down some of the features of MF's face because Parasite has no visible ears or lips. I sanded down the neck of the Batman body because it was too large for the Mr. Freeze neck. The rest is just paint and sealer.
Kyle Rayner was made from a TNBA Creeper body with a TNBA Batman head. I cut the fingers from the Creeper figure, leaving only the thumb on the left hand attached. Then I sculpted his ring hand into a fist and his left hand open so he could hold his power battery/lantern. I also added the arm pads w/sculpey and Dremeled off the Creeper's details. I sanded off the Creeper neck, then added Sculpey to make a new one. Then I cut off Batman's chin to get the right shape. I cut off some of Batman's head to create GL's jaw line, and added Sculpey for the hair and ears.
Green Lantern's archenemy was made from a TNBA Glider Strike Batman figure, with the face (except for the eyes and nose), the gloves, the boots, and the belt sanded off. The face was made from sculpey, with the boot and belt rims made of sculpey also. The ring was simply painted on this time, rather than sculpting it.
The Flash was made from a TNBA Creeper. I cut off the head, and sanded down the neck completely, so it doesn't stick out. Then I took Creeper's hands off, and replaced them with hands from an Arkham two-pack Batman. I also added sculpey for the boots, so they stick out at the bottom. The ear wings are made from sculpey and telephone wire.
Mark Martin, a.k.a. the Weather Wizard, was made from a BTAS Pogo Stick Joker torso, arms and head, with legs sculpted from scratch with Sculpey. The face was modified with sculpey, while the goggles were cut from STAS Lex Luthor's Kryptonite armor and glued on. The "wand" was made from part of a Batman Forever Talking Riddler's cane, cut off, with Sculpey added on the ends.
Batman was made from the Detective Batman figure, with a repainted belt and face. I also added a cloth cape that wraps around his shoulders more, so he's a little closer to the model sheet. The wings were repainted Knight Glider Batman wings, repainted by my friend Brady (I would've used mine, but his looked so much better! Thanks, man!).
Superman was made from STAS Capture Net and Electro Energy Supermen. I took the torso, arms and head from Capture Net Superman, combining them with the legs from my old Jax-Ur (Electro Energy Supes) figure. I sanded down the muscles on his arms, legs, and collarbone, as well as the protruding part of his chin. I used sculpey to smooth out the muscles on his arms and ribs. I sanded off the belt loops and painted new ones, as well as painting the rest of the figure. I used a rub-on paper transfer for the S-shield, as I messed up the previous one with the Dremel and paint. The Capture Net Launcher accessory was repainted as well.
Superman's archenemy was made from the usual BTAS Two-Face with an STAS Luthor head, with Sculpey added for the vest. His accessory is a 2.5" Lexo-Skel 5000 "desk model" (as used in, "Last Son of Krypton", part three) and a hunk of Kryptonite (although you can't see it, it IS there).
Joker's base is (obviously) a TNBA Wildcard Joker, with repainted wrists, teeth, and shoe-tops, as well as a water-squirting action feature! I wanted to do something to my figure to make it really different, so I drilled a hole with a dremel, first in the back, then with a smaller bit in the front. Then I took the tube and squeeze bottle from an old Toy Biz Joker figure, filled it up with water, and viola! His flower squirts "acid"!
I used some sticky paper and printed out new accessory listings for the front, then stuck them on the box.
